CNBC reports on Apple Ultra Portable Laptop

     Jim Goldman reports for CNBC from his source “with good connections to Apple’s Asian manufacturing partners” that Apple will make the much hyped ultra portable laptop announcement at Macworld San Francisco 2008. According to Goldman, the laptop has a 12-inch screen with a profile 50% thinner than current generation MacBook Pro and priced under $1500. If true, this new laptop will be positioned between the MacBook and MacBook Pro models in terms of  retail price and not an entry level model as previously thought.
